AFTER TODAYS ANNOUNCEMENT OF CORNWALL GOING INTO TIER 3 MEASURES, AND DUE TO OUR VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE HAVING TO CLOSE THE VILLAGE HALL UNTIL REGULATIONS ALLOW, WE ARE UNABLE TO RE-OPEN AFTER THE CHRISTMAS BREAK FOR THE TIME BEING. WE WILL KEEP YOU ALL INFORMED AS AND WHEN WE KNOW OURSELVES.

After some hard work by our committee, the club has been able to earn
"COVID SAFE" status from the English Short Mat Bowls Association.
Below is our certificate.
To understand the regulations what we have to comply with, you can view our
club risk assesment, our approval letter from the ESMBA, our club Covid
guidelines, the amended Rule Of 6 Procedures from the ESMBA and their
poster, all of which will be able to be seen on our bowls notice board in the
Village Hall and a copy of them will also be sent to members and guests
booking in to our practice sessions.
For the time being we are still waiting to have our AGM, when we hope to have a nominated officer in charge of the COVID SAFE procedures, until then our Chairman Mark Albon will be handling the procedures and organising the bookings for the practice sessions. He will then continue to help and assist. To book in to one of our sessions, call 07779 473544. Please be aware should you not get through immediately, leave a message with your name and contact number, as Mark also has other commitments to attend to. He will get back to you at his earliest convenience.
Please read and follow all of these guidelines. If we don't the club risks losing its status and will therefore have to shut until it is possible to again safely re-open. Anyone not following these rules will be asked to leave the session, and will be refused booking to a session.
Thank you for your patience and it will be great to welcome you back.
See you very soon, Luxulyan SMBC Committee.
